The "Inventory" Dashboard, Tooltips, Error Messages, and More

Here are the update notes for the period of June 1, 2017 - June 30, 2017. Let us know if you have any questions!

  • Renamed the "Hosts" dashboard to "Inventory."
    • Within "Inventory, the "Machine" view displays the same content that was previously shown in "Hosts," with details of the user's physical machine. For users veiwing MongoDB systems, there is also a "Node Groups" view that shows the logical hierarchy of the databases.

  • New rankings added for MongoDB. Users can now rank queries by Missing Indexes, and currentOps, currentOps queries, and currentOps callers can be ranked by count, time, and blocked.
  • Additional widgets added to show the current operations during MongoDB faults.
  • Added a facility for showing tooltips on charts to provide metric definitions.


  • Added a button to each event row for creating an Alert based off of the associated event.

  • Improved MongoDB JSON query explains.
  • Enhanced styling of the filters bar. Inputs will no longer change their position when the bar is expanded.

  • Added error messages that will display when there is a failure while loading the Summary Page.

  • A formatting update In the Events tool that causes one event's details pane to collapse when another event expands. The associated host is now also displayed:

  • Fixed bugs that affected selecting entire clusters or shards.
