One of VividCortex’s core design goals is to provide the most direct and effortless way for users to maximize their insight into their systems. And, in very practical terms, at the core of achieving that goal is VividCortex’s suite of dashboards.
A dashboard is the first thing you see in VividCortex. As a way of communicating and organizing information, dashboards are key: they arrange data meaningfully, they provide clarity and direct methods of navigation, and, at their best, they effortlessly guide users toward what they really need to know.
This past July, when we introduced our new Summary Dashboard, Baron wrote, “We capture and analyze an incredible amount of data, but it can be overwhelming for a person, especially [a user] new to VividCortex, to make sense of it. We want our customers to be able to instantly see and understand what’s happening in their data tier.” When we designed that Summary Dashboard, customer feedback played a major role in shaping its features and determining what it would include. Our other key dashboards -- the Agents Dashboard, Events Dashboard, Metrics Dashboard, and Queries Dashboard -- all aim to give customers the most intuitive, impactful experience with VividCortex, as we understand best fits their needs.
Along those lines, we want to let VividCortex’s customers know that if you have ideas for a dashboard that would better suit your monitoring demands, we will build a custom dashboard for you. Get in touch, tell us know what your ideal monitoring dashboard should look like, and we’ll make it happen.
We’re also planning on building a tool that would allow VividCortex users to design dashboards themselves, but until that feature is ready, we’ll do the construction for you. Don’t hesitate to let us know what you’d like to see and how we can help make it happen.
