We're excited to share that last night, Baron Schwartz—VividCortex's very own, very deserving founder and CEO—was recognized as "Entrepreneur of the Year" by the Charlottesville Business Innovation Council (CBIC) at their 19th annual CBIC Awards. The award honors a leader who "embodies all the elements of successful tech-centric entrepreneurship, including innovation, employment, leadership, finance, determination, and persistence."
The CBIC awards are designed to celebrate Central Virginia's top businesses and organizations, with an emphasis on technology and innovation. Back in 2014, VividCortex won CBIC's Rocket Award, for fast product development. CBIC is responsible for driving important business growth in Charlottesville and the region, making it a real hub for innovation and a resource for the community. Baron and VividCortex are grateful for CBIC's continued support.
“It’s a privilege to receive this award,” Baron said. “When I founded VividCortex, I chose Charlottesville for our headquarters because of the obvious advantages. We enjoy benefits like great quality of life, a top-quality research university, easy commutes, low cost of living, and a very forward-thinking community and civic leadership in general. These things are attractive to employees, and that makes Charlottesville attractive to businesses. CBIC celebrates and amplifies this culture of creativity. I owe a lot to CBIC and Charlottesville, who have supported me and our whole team from day one.”

Thanks again to CBIC and congratulations to Baron!
